Smiltene Wind Farm – Construction Progress Update

With colder weather conditions setting in, transport weight restriction signs have been removed from the Latvian state road sections P29 and V235. Construction of the wind farm has been resumed at full scale. The current situation, where the road surface is frozen, is being used to the maximum extent, as the movement of heavy machinery does not affect the load-bearing capacity or quality of the road surface, allowing the necessary material deliveries to be carried out. With the onset of warmer weather, transport traffic will be reduced, and it will take place only on road sections for which the relevant permits have been obtained from SJSC “Latvian State Roads” and the Smiltene Municipality.
