Smiltene Wind Farm – Construction Progress Update

Pile installation works for the turbine foundations have been completed. Turbine foundation concreting is currently ongoing.

Along the P29 road section, concreting of all foundations has been completed, and preparatory works for turbine installation have been initiated. The first deliveries of turbine components are scheduled for the first half of May this year.

A mobile  concrete plant has been approved by the relevant state authorities, and agreements have been signed with VSIA Latvijas Valsts ceļi regarding the inclusion of additional road sections in the road maintenance contract.

As of 24.04.2026, the mobile plant will commence operations. The maximum volume of concrete will be supplied from the mobile plant. As a backup option, part of the concrete supply will continue from the Gulbene and Valmiera plants.
