Smiltene Wind Farm – Construction Progress Update

Turbine foundation concreting works are ongoing. 11 out of 16 foundations have been completed.

Deliveries of wind turbine components have commenced. Each week (in the first and second half of the week), up to two transport sets are expected, consisting of long transport combinations carrying blades and shorter trucks transporting nacelles and other components.

These deliveries will typically take place during the evening and night hours to minimize inconvenience to local residents. Each delivery will be escorted and supervised by the State Police, ensuring maximum transportation safety and control.
